Episode 9 – Diversity and Inclusion in Homeschooling with Jacqueline Howard

“Do not be discouraged because you don’t see people like you. You may be the one that needs to start the movement.” – Jacqueline

Our nation (and the world) is struggling with issues on racism and inclusivity. Can I ask you a question? How much diversity is in your homeschool? How are you teaching your children to be an ally and advocate for black and brown people?

Today’s guest,  Jacqueline Howard,  business owner and Christian homeschool mom of 4, joins me to openly talk about the hard things that many people are afraid to say. She shares the struggles they have faced as a homeschool family of color and how they were able to overcome them.

If you believe that there is beauty in all of us and that inclusivity and discrimination are issues we need to discuss, grab a tissue and don’t miss this important episode!

In This Episode, You’ll discover:

  • What it is like to be the only family of  color in an all white homeschool community
  • How being a leader in her homeschool community inspired Jacqueline to start her business
  • Her strategies on creating a system that allows her to successfully homeschool while running her business
  • The struggles and obstacles she has faced as a Homeschool CEO who’s also a woman of color and how she has overcome them
  • How intentional parenting and pouring truth into her children has been one of her biggest benefits of homeschooling
  • The culturally-diverse homeschool materials that she uses to teach her kids a more accurate account of history and learn about other children around the world

Jacqueline is incredible! Her perspective on intentional parenting and homeschooling will inspire everyone to see the beauty in all of us regardless of our skin color.
